The Musser M245 Deluxe Studio Grand Marimba features 4.3 octaves of wide graduated Honduras Rosewood bars, set in the A2-C7 note range. The rosewood bars are selected for their rich tone and sustain, and are triple-tuned to ensure that each bar compliments its neighbour perfectly. Each bar is satin finished to accentuate the beauty of the rosewood. The resonators are made of high-grade light aluminium tubing for a full and rich sound, coated with silver vein powder coating for scratch-resistant durability. Sitting on a classic black wood concert frame, the M245 is an ideal instrument for the performing player.
The Studio Grand marimbas are available with 3 different bar materials: African Padauk (M240), Kelon (M240K), or Rosewood (M245 Deluxe). Standard tuning is to A = 442 Hz, alternate tunings are also available.
Includes shallow drop cover and pair of Musser mallets.
